Air Marshal. Since 2025 he has served as Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force. He has accumulated over 3,000 flight hours on fighter and advanced trainer aircraft. He has been awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Among his other decorations are the NATO Medal for operations in the former Yugoslavia and Kosovo, the United States Meritorious Service Medal, and the European Union Commemorative Medal for Operation “SOPHIA”.
